Asseco SEE recognized amongst top Warsaw Stock Exchange companies

Asseco South Eastern Europe (Asseco SEE) has the pleasure to announce that it has been ranked 17th out of the 400 companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange for the most competent management board and CEO in 2011. This evaluation was done by Puls Biznesu Poland’s leading business and financial daily newspaper in cooperation with Pentor one of largest independant Polish research institutes. This is one of the prestigious rankings in which the companies listed on the WSE are evaluated in a clear and detailed manner based on an anonymous vote, this time by 180 analysts and consultats.

The management board of Asseco South Eastern Europe, presided by Mr. Piotr Jelenski, is consisted of the Asseco SEE directors from Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Poland. Asseco South Eastern Europe has been listed on the WSE since 2009.

Asseco SEE developed E-democracy Web Portal

Asseco SEE Macedonia has the pleasure to announce the successful completion of one of the region’s first E-democracy Web Portals, developed for and in cooperation with the Macedonian Ministry of Information Society and Administration. The project was contracted in November, 2011, and publicly launched at www.e-demokratija.mk last week.

"The portal represents a modern method of public debate through which the citizens - through an easy and easily accessible means - can give their opinions about the government's proposed decisions and documents, as well as participate in the decision-making process," Information Minister Ivo Ivanovski told the SETimes.

The project was developed and executed by Asseco SEE’s Custom Application Services (CAS) team and it was one of the recent exciting joint ventures we have had with the public sector in the region. Asseco SEE Macedonia is proud to be an active participant in the furthering of democratic process and looks forward to new projects and collaborations ahead.

ASEBA AML won the first prize on MASIT ICT Excellence Awards

ASEBA AML solution for preventing money laundering and financing terrorism won the first prize on MASIT ICT Excellence Awards 2012, regarded as the most significant award in the IT field in Macedonia. Solution was evaluated by several criteria: Innovativeness of the solution, Customer satisfaction and benefits, and Technical realization.

As the best solution in the private sector in Macedonia, ASEBA AML will be nominated for participation on WITSA 2012 Global ICT Excellence Awards on 23 May 2012 in Montreal, Canada.

Currently, ASEBA AML is successfully implemented in three different countries and it is integrated with several Core Banking systems. The solution covers different types of analysis of customer data: Risk-Based Framework, Transaction Monitoring, and Due Diligence/Remediation. It gives accurate results and analyses, implements all legal requirements and the measures designed to deter, detect and disrupt money laundering and provides controls necessary to lower the risk.

Halkbank AD Signs Up With Asseco SEE for e-Commerce Payments

Halkbank AD, Skopje (formerly known as IK Bank) has signed up with Asseco SEE Turkey for e-Commerce Payment processing services.

Established in 1993, Halkbank AD, is the leading bank in terms of e-Commerce payments in Macedonia. Under the contract scope, Halkbank AD will provide e-Commerce and MOTO (Mail Order Telephone Order) payment transactions to its merchants. Along with Asseco SEE’s payment gateway solution NestPayTM., the bank is also planning to launch new value added services for its e-Commerce merchants together with Asseco SEE.

Halkbank AD, Skopje carries out deposit collection, corporate and retail lending, foreign exchange operations, domestic and foreign payments, trading of fixed income instruments and trade finance. It introduced the international systems of quality management EN ISO 9001:2008 and information security ISO 27001/2005 in Macedonia. The Bank has a wide international network, which includes correspondent relationships with 339 banks and account relationships with 17 foreign banks.

Mobile banking solution of company Asseco SEE implemented in Croatian Postal Bank

User-friendly and secure mobile banking service of Croatian Postal Bank, based on Asseco SEE mobile banking solution ASEBA JiMBa, works on all popular mobile platforms.

Asseco SEE Croatia successfully finished at the end of last year implementation of mobile banking solution ASEBA JiMBa in Croatian Postal Bank. After implementation of Asseco SEE's solution, bank's clients have new service called HPB-mBanking at disposal. The service enables easy and fast tracking and management of finances on all types of accounts opened in the bank through mobile phones.

Mobile banking solution ASEBA JiMBa or HPB-mBanking service offers different functionalities that can be performed on the go, from any place and at any time, regardless of branches' working hours and in situations when clients don't have computers near them. It works on all popular mobile platforms of different mobile phones manufacturers and in all mobile networks of all mobile operators. Some of the available functionalities of the solution or service are: checking of balances and transactions on all accounts opened within the bank, insight into balances of savings, installments and credits; tracking of limits and transactions related to debit and credit cards; current payments and payments that will be performed on a particular date in the future; purchase of GSM prepaid vouchers; checking of exchange rates and purchase and selling of foreign currencies.

Second Display Card project in Romania for Asseco SEE Croatia: Banca Comerciala Carpatica implemented new authentication method for Internet banking users.

At the end of last year Banca Comerciala Carpatica implemented new authentication method for Internet banking users. Besides tokens, they can now use E-Smart Display Card for authenticating themselves when approaching their finances through Internet banking.

Display card as authentication method is a part of Asseco SEE's authentication solution ASEBA SxS, which, besides support for display cards, offers support for other authentication methods too (hardware tokens, EMV CAP, mobile token, SMS). This is the second display card implementation for Asseco SEE's Mobile and Security team in Romania and the fourth display card implementation in the world.

E-Smart is MasterCard debit card that offers usual functionalities of debit cards plus token functionality. So this card can be used for example for purchasing of goods and services at point of sale or on the Internet, or for withdrawing money from ATMs. But at the same time, E-Smart can be used for authentication because of the display located on the card. When activated, display displays security code required by Internet banking service.

UniCredit Slovenia and Httpool won Webit Award for advertising launch of bank's mobile banking application

UniCredit Bank Slovenia and Httpool agency for online and mobile advertising won Webit Award at Webit Congress 2011, which was held in Sofia at the end of 2011, for advertising of launch of bank's mobile banking application based on Asseco SEE's solution for mobile banking ASEBA JiMBa.

UniCredit Bank Slovenia is one of 8 banks of UniCredit group that operate in Central and Eastern Europe that decided to implement Asseco SEE's solution. Besides in Slovenia, mobile banking service based on ASEBA JiMBa is already active in Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovakia and Bulgaria. Soon it will become available to end users in remaining 3 countries.

Webit Congress is one of the most important European events for digital marketing and IT in CEE that this year hosted more than 5.000 participants from 40 countries.

UniCredit Bank has advertised launch of the first universal mobile banking application on mobile phones and tablets, which is based on Asseco's solution for mobile banking ASEBA JiMBa. Campaign offered an effective way to reach the target audience – potential users of the mobile application.

Current and potential clients were introduced to the new service in banking through microsites on smartphones. Microsite was enabling users to learn about applications features and showed the way to start using it, by linking to the application, enabling automated call for them to get more information and a map showing the nearest UniCredit Bank and bringing clients one step closer. Moreover, campaign included creatives adapted to other mobile phones and tablets, to get the greatest reach with most effective creative solution for each device.

One of the Largest IT Infrastructure Projects in Romania

National Institute of Statistics, a longstanding client, and Asseco SEE in Romania undertook one of the largest IT infrastructure projects in Romania in 2011. For this undertaking, Asseco SEE in Romania provided the National Institute of Statistics with IT system installation, configuration and complete integration. Equipment was delivered and installed at the headquarter and in 42 locations across Romania. Upgrade of NetApp FAS2040 storage's operating system and virtualization licenses and 3-year onsite warranty are also provided. This large IT infrastructure project will support Romania`s population census, a nation-wide program that includes a lot of data and statistics and is scheduled to be done in 2011.
