His aim is to identify and manage key projects in the field of software solutions for healthcare in Central Europe and to define long-term strategy for healthcare across the Asseco Group. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of STU in Bratislava. During his career he devoted himself mainly in the development, implementation and operation of information systems for banking and insurance companies. In Asseco CE (formerly ASSET Soft, Inc.) hold various positions from the programmer – analyst, team the leader, business consultant up to Healthcare Business Unit Director.

Asseco CE awarded The best Annual Report

The announcer of competition, INEKO and evaluation committee composed of representatives of the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, HSBC Bank and Comenius University, Faculty of Management decided to revive the current contest and change the evaluation process in order to promote quality and transparency of financial reporting in Slovakia.

Formal award ceremony was held on 10.11.2011 during economic forum at HN Club at Hotel Radisson Blu Carlton where top three companies with the best annual reports were awarded:

High level of our company´s annual report was praised by Alexander Srank, a partner in PwC: " within conditions in Central Europe the annual report is of a very particular quality that concerns all key areas, and is significantly beyond the local practice in terms of openness". Rastislav Kovacik from Institute of INEKO only confirmed the statement that: "Asseco indicated in the report specific projects, key customers, identified business opportunities and clearly described the strategy and risks“.

According to European Commissioner Neelie Kroes, the results confirm that the sector is a reliable pillar underpinning economic growth in Europe. "Not only that the market overall grew by ten percent, but the company is primarily a plan to increase staff numbers and investment in research and development," said Kroes.

Nevertheless, the results are significantly affected by the last ranking of the ongoing global economic crisis that affected virtually all sectors of the economy. "We are very pleased that the group Asseco, even in these difficult times, was able to defend its place in the top ten and confirm its strong position among Europe's major software players," said Jozef Klein, CEO Asseco Central Europe .

Truffle 100 analyzes the development of the European information technology market every year since 2006. The research is based on data obtained through research and analysis of the company CXP, which focuses on market research in the field of information technology and IDC.

An excellent evaluation by the ČEKIA Stability Award

The ČEKIA rating provides an independent view of the financial and non-financial standing of the company. It expresses the present state and financial situation including the prediction of a future risk.

The AAA grade is the highest possible rating on the ten-grade scale and less than ten per cent of Czech companies reaches it.

The model is based on a statistic analysis. Individual company data such as demographic indicators, payment experience information, financial data or relationships among entities are entered in it as well as a macroeconomic component. It monitors the current development in the market and changes depending on the total performance of the economy. The result of the rating is therefore also influenced by the current economic situation. The model monitors the GDP development, price index, the rate of unemployment, export, import or a CNB lombard rate.

Čekia Stability Award
Czech Capital Information Agency (ČEKIA) is a leading provider of economic (financial, credit, trade and marketing) information about companies. On the basis of analytic indicators, it annually awards a stability rating of Czech companies. The ČEKIA Stability Rating is expressed using the grades from AAA (near zero risk) up to D (insolvency). The score specifies the probability of bankruptcy of a company in the upcoming 12 months.

Tomáš Osuský became a new member of the Board of Directors

Before joining Asseco CE Mr. Osuský held various positions for different IT companies, e.g. as an Ececutive Director at Ernst & Young and prior to this, as a member of the Board of Directors at IBM Slovakia for many years. He is graduated from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

Asseco Group at conference "eHealth Week" in Budapest

Healthcare business unit of Asseco Group will participate at conference "eHealth Week focusing on IT solutions to support e-healthcare during 10-12 May 2011 in Budapest, Hungary.

This year's conference is hosted by the Hungarian EU Presidium. This event is organized together with the ministerial conference of European Commission and exhibition “World health information technology (WoHIT)“, and will be the largest pan-European event for electronic healthcare at all.

The common exposure of Asseco Central Europe, Asseco Poland SA and GlobeNet will present their products and business solutions for all vertical segments starting from the central health authorities and government, through health insurance companies to healthcare providers. The Asseco Group exposition includes solutions for medical records sharing at national and regional level, solutions for ePrescription, production systems for health insurance companies and hospital information systems. Asseco Central Europe reaffirms its firm position in the region

Asseco Central Europe, which operates in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and in Hungary, has announced its consolidated financial results for 2010. The total volume of the company’s revenues reached EUR 127.3 million, which is 2.3% less than a year ago. With these results, the company has reaffirmed its solid position on the market of Central Europe, despite the unfavorable economic climate that prevailed in the region last year.

“The consolidated financial results for 2010 are a hopeful sign and the prospects for the future look promising,”were the comments of Jozef Klein, CEO of the group.

The total volume of revenues of the parent company Asseco CE in Slovakia reached EUR 31.3 million; the Czech branch 33 million.

Last year the company was awarded a number of major contracts. In the Czech Republic we became one of the members of a consortium charged with implementing the Legal Persons Registration project for the Czech Statistical Office.

At the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010 the company won a tender to supply a comprehensive system for Wüstenrot Group and another to implement the Comprehensive Information System project for the Supreme Audit Office of Slovakia. The company was also awarded the project to combine the information systems of two Slovak health insurance companies - specifically General Health Insurance Company (VšZP) and Mutual Health Insurance Company (SZP).

The group’s subsidiaries also did well. The Hungarian Statlogics became one of the leading suppliers of MigCredit, which is expanding its activities in microfinance into Russia. The Asseco Central Europe Group is entering the Russian market through Statlogics.

Czech Asseco strengthens its management, Miroslav Řezníček at the head

The Czech branch of Asseco Central Europe announces important changes in the management of the company. The alteration continues the process Asseco Central Europe commenced in the previous year with the aim to strengthen business activities and develop the company within the Central European region. Miroslav Řezníček has become a new Country Manager of the Czech branch of Asseco Central Europe since 1 March.

In the past he worked at high managerial positions with Český Telecom and Contactel, telecom companies. Last time he was a managing director of the Dell business unit in Slovakia.

“My main objective for several upcoming months is searching new business opportunities in the market and developing the company at an international level,” adds Miroslav Řezníček, the coming Country Manager. He substitutes Jaroslav Mašek in the position who returns back within the group to Slovakia.

Another key change in the top management is the arrival of David Stoppani, the previous chairman of the Board of Director at Right Power Group, who comes to the position of the Sales Manager. David Řepa, the current manager, will newly be responsible for business activities in the field of public administration.

Since the beginning of the year, Radek Levíček manages a newly established Business Unit Public for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary and is also a member of the company´s Board of Directors. He has worked with Asseco since the end of 2008. He ensured the fusion and incorporation of Berit into the structures of Asseco CE, the establishment of a new Geographic & Network Systems division including the setting of the product and business strategy and cooperation within Asseco Group. Before, he worked in the top management of numerous companies, such as Eurotel Praha or ADW Holding.

“I look forward to the cooperation with the new management very much. I believe the experience and commitment of all three managers will contribute to the development of our company,” adds to the changes in top positions Jozef Klein, CEO.

Miroslav Řezníček
He graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague where he studied economy and management. He later obtained MBA at the University of Chicago, the U.S.A. During his professional career he worked at high managerial positions with Český Telecom and Contactel, telecommunications companies. He acquired foreign experience in Bulgaria where he worked for ČEZ and in Belarus where he worked for Logan Orviss, a consulting group. He has come to the Asseco Group from Dell where he worked as a managing director of the business unit in Slovakia from 2008 to 2011.

David Stoppani
He graduated from the University of Tomáš Baťa in Zlín where he studied at the Faculty of Applied Informatics. During his studies he started work with PVT (later Asseco) as a project manager. He dealt with informatics later as well when he became a manager for IT with XT – Card. He was the chairman of the Board of Directors with Right Power Group for three years. He has worked as the Sales Manager of Asseco Central Europe since February 2011.

Radek Levíček
After graduating from the University of Agriculture in Brno where he studied forestry management, finances and economy, he worked with R. V. Poppe and Collection. Since 1994 he worked with EuroTel Praha, most recently as the Sales Manager of the whole group. In 2006 he came to ADW Holding to work at the position of the Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors. Since 2008 he has worked with Asseco Central Europe. He is currently the Public Business Unit Manager and at the same time, a member of the Board of Directors.

Asseco has an IT Product of the Year

The AG Portal of Asseco Central Europe has won an important award of the Computerworld professional magazine this week – the 1st place in the IT Product of 2010, Category “Online Services”.

This portal brings new possibilities for creating web portals. Thanks to its sophisticated architecture and modern technologies, it enables to transfer corporate processes to the web environment. Instead of personal visits to branch offices, customers can now use the online access via the Internet. A high emphasis is put on an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

AG Portal especially focuses on using data and functions of geographic information systems. It supports efficient control of processes associated with the provision of spatial data to the public and registered users both free of charge and for consideration. These online services include publishing analytical planning documents, providing statements on the existence of utility networks, providing documents on the current state of infrastructure, etc.

Radek Levíček, the Director of the Geographic & Network Systems Division which has developed the product, adds: “I am pleased we succeeded in winning this award. With AG Portal, we have summed up our years of experience in the development of GIS systems together with skills and knowledge of our development specialists. Both of them are a big promise for us for the future. I believe this award will attract further satisfied customers, particularly from the sector of utilities, industry and public administration.”

The panel particularly appreciated on the product its flexible and quick visual modelling of processes using BPEL (Business Process Execution Language), the support to OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) standards for integrating GIS data and the possibility to use freely available map sources (Google, Bing, Yahoo). The support to various databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2 or MySQL, adaptation to the appearance of a customer´s corporate design or visualisation support in PDA was no less important.

The “IT Product of the Year” contest is traditionally declared by Computerworld, a professional biweekly. Any product which has been launched in the Czech market in 2010 could be entered for the contest. The goal of the contest is to highlight products with such properties by which they significantly differ from competitive products of the same category. It can be e.g. completely innovative products, products with an interesting functional improvement, substantially easier control or extraordinarily favourable price. In evaluation, the emphasis is obviously put on the benefit for customers.

Czech Asseco CE switching to registered shares

Asseco Central Europe, which is registered in the Czech Republic, is announcing a change in the form of its company shares – from bearer shares to registered shares.

This change is being implemented as the result of a decision by the sole shareholder on 25 August 2010, which affects all company shares and which was entered into the Commercial Register on 8 September 2010. The decision by the sole shareholder was in response to an amendment to the law on public contracts, which as of mid-September allows only those joint-stock companies with registered shares to participate in tenders.
